The genus Citrus is native to South Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia, Melanesia, and Australia. Various citrus species have been utilized and domesticated by indigenous cultures in these areas since ancient times. 

Although, Citrus fruits are an excellent source of vitamin C, a nutrient that strengthens the immune system. Their acid can erode tooth enamel and grapefruit can interact with some medications.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium tangerines
  • 1 navel orange
  • ½ grapefruit
  • ½ lime
  • a sprinkle of lemon zest
  • 1 cup cold water

Instructions
 

  • Supreme all fruit.
  • Feed the ingredients one at a time into juicer.
  • Lemon zest can come directly from peel of the lemon using a grater or use lemon zest.
  • Stir the juice throughly before consuming. Drink right away or freeze it in an air tight container.

For an added twist, rim with sugar or salt.
